Rain Returns to North Texas
Earlier as I was checking through my e-mail messages, I came across an e-mail that made me feel the need to clear something up with everyone. I received the following e-mail: First off, I want to thank the individual who sent me the question, I'm glad for someone to have asked this because I want to let anyone who was wondering the same, am I a professional or not? To answer that question, I am not a professional, I am a hobbyist who has a passion and love of meteorology and plan on becoming a meteorologist in my future. However, I have years of experience with weather, and I have taken many courses on the online meteorology school "MetEd" (if you or anyone you may know may be interested in taking online courses about meteorology, I strongly recommend this program. Best thing is, it's free). I also have my SkyWarn StormSpotter certification as well. I try my best to accurately forecast weather, and I ALWAYS check my forecasts and make sure that they match the National Weather Service's information to make sure I am not providing any false information. All of my weather outlooks, watches and warnings, and other information like that, I ONLY get from the National Weather Service and National Storm Prediction Center, from time to time, I will also post information I receive from trusted sources. I hope I cleared a few things up for anyone who may be curious, but if you have anymore questions, please feel free to ask. I hope I can become a well trusted weather information source among the public, I enjoy what I do and I really thank the support of everyone who's been using me as an information source and hope you continue to for times to come!
